Todays words of wisdom
Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved.

Laura Ashley ~ now in stock
Laura Ashley
I have spent the day unpacking a delivery at work all of the new Laura Ashley goodies, they are georgous, two styles on traditional & the other contemporary. Four sets of rubber stamps 3 sets of wood mounted & one of them is the stick type like tapestry stamps to build up a picture & a set of clear stamps.
Jarrolds in Norwich have it all in stock at the moment, but it is selling fast people were rummaging in the boxes as I was trying to unpack them.

Todays words of wisdom ~ especially for John
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Todays words of wisdom
Start living now. Stop saving the good china for that special occasion. Stop withholding your love until that special person materializes. Every day you are alive is a special occasion. Every minute, every breath, is a gift, make the most of every minute.
Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers-15
Hi All
My name is Lisa a craft-a-holic & stamp-a-holic. I have been rubber stamping for over 17 years now & back in those days everything had to be ordered from the USA. Over the last 17 years I have taken a couple of breaks from crafting to have my babies, both are no longer babies at 16 & 12. During my years of crafting I think I have tried most papercrafts but still keep going back to rubber stamping especially colouring them with watercolour pencils.
I have started scrap booking, but so far only made 3 double pages.
I love My family, Penny Black stamps, Cuttlebug embossing folders, kettle crisps & guilt free time in my craft room, walking on the beach ( even in the snow ) & the colour pink.
I hate bananas, tea bag folding, rude people, milk & shopping in the city centre on a Saturday afternoon.
Happy Crafting

Wedding Cards
A while ago I used a stamped image that had been in an e-bay package I had bought a few years ago & I really liked the image so I posted on the Docrafts forum with a link to my gallery & a very kind stamp detective not only found the make, stamp details but also the cheapest online stockist, needless to say I needed that stamp. Here are the wedding cards I made with it, the papers are from the new Papermania 12" x 12" range they are double sided & unusually for papermania papers it was hard too choose which side I preferred.
Flower Soft
The shop I work in has recently started stocking Flower soft, so I needed to make some samples for the display, just another excuse to have a play.
I must say that the actual flower soft glue does make a big difference, previously I had used PVA glue and found that the flower soft didn't adhere too well, but the glue that sells with the range is really thick & was much easier too use.

Look what I found on the beach
On wednesday we went up to the North Norfolk coast, first we went to Sheringham & then onto Cromer. On the beach in Sheringham I found this heart shaped stone, unfortunately it was too heavy to carry back to the car.
Walking along the pier in Cromer was bracing to say the least, and the pier felt like it was shaking in the high winds, I saw this sign and it did make me laugh.
Look at the sea as if anyone would be stupid enough to dive in.

Spring Clean
I've spent the afternoon in my craft room as the football has been on, I've been having a spring clean.............. I had lots of bits & pieces, stamped images I had already coloured, printed backing papers etc. So I made some quick cards using the Papermania pre-printed card blanks.
Happy Easter
Hubby is pacing around as we have no satellite signal and Chelsea are playing this afternoon.
I dont mind the snow, it make great pictures & I can happily spend the afternoon in my craft room finishing projects off.
Football
Yesterday Hubby & Abi had corporate tickets to see Norwich play at Carrow road, despite rain most of Friday night & snow showers on & off Saturday Morning the game went ahead, as usual when one of us goes we are fortunate enough to see Norwich score a goal or two, but yesterday they excelled themselves beating Colchester 5 - 1.
I think really she only went for the three course meal in Delia's restaurant, so Norwich winning was a bonus, that and the new clothes she got the day before to comply with the strict dress code, every teenage girl has loads of clothes, but how many have an outfit that would comply with a strict dress code?

Making Cards magazine January 2008
Making cards is a brilliant magazine that i am sure many of you will be familiar with, but if you aren't here goes, It is published on the 3rd Thursday of the month, it is only for sale at craft shops and has 6 special issues a year & the next special issue is due out on March 27th 2008 and is a floral special with 32 free sheets of paper & decoupage etc.
The usual issue is £3.40 and contains a project section of 6 - 8 projects and 10 sheets of backing paper, decoupage, borders & Vellum ( each issue is a different theme, so the contents vary )
I find the magazine is brilliant on the days you have creative block, get a magazine out & start cutting out and make a few of the suggested projects & that really gets your creative juices flowing again.
