40th Birthday card order

I was asked to make a card for a 40th Birthday. The guy works with my husband & wanted to remind his wife that she was 40............... I hated being 40 so this was a challenge, but I was very pleased with how the card turned out, I also made a keepsake box for the card, but I forgot to photograph it.

Monday again................... !

Monday again ................ Where do the weekends go?

Many thanks to everyone who has sent get well wishes to Abi, she is still in pain but on a scale of 1 - 10 she says she is about a 5 now but still taking the codeine. I think Abi will be very pleased to get back to normal & be more mobile again.
As she has been sleeping so much I have been able to make a few cards.

These cards are inspired by Dawn and they are simply made using a cats eye ink pad, the stems are stamped using Stampin up set Stem sayings.

I was asked to make some Birthday cards, the brief was a little girl who is 2 years old and loves mario, Princess's, fifi & babies, here is what I came up with.

So sorry for the lousy photographs but I still cant use my laptop & my usual photo editing suite.

Catching up

I'm having a nice catch up day at home today, I do have to pay the price however and work tomorrow.
I have eleven cards to make today for a card order that is being collected tomorrow. All of the cards need to be personalised with either names or ages so I have dusted of my Cricut to have a play with.

The brief for this card was a red guitar.............. Well I googled images to decoupage and nothing was suitable and eventually I found this template on a craft forum. I was very pleased with this card as I was originally stumped.

The two wedding cards are a scrap box design, I cut 5cm squares in co-ordinating pinks & whites and then ran them through an assortment of cuttlebug folders, an similarly with the strips.

Playing catch up

I feel that I have spent the whole day playing catch up, I blitzed the downstairs of my house, I was having a major pang of guilt as I completely ignored the layer of dust on Tuesday when I was off work, so today I couldn't put it off any longer. I then spent the next couple of hours bagging up 50+ bags of snowman poop & reindeer poop as little treats I am making. I have just tried to take some pictures but the light is so bad I will have to add them tomorrow.
I then moved onto my next list, ( I have lists everywhere at the moment ) Card orders from Paul's friends at work.

These were both made using the Cricut & the Cuttlebug, the embossed hearts are from a Stampin up set Happy hearts.

Then a few more of the family cards for the grandchildren. as we are going down to see them on Sunday, these included two Baby's first Christmas cards, it was then that i realised that I actually had 5 Baby's First Christmas cards to make, not all family I might add.

The above three cards are all made using the Nit wits collection "twas the night before Christmas".
I will pop back tomorrow with more cards from the next list.

21st Birthday

This is a very simple style, which s-i-l favours, the card is a very dark blue pearlescent shimmer card. The playing cards are from a set of mini cards that I found in our local game shop.
The letters are cut from the Cricut George & basic shapes cartridge
.

My nephew is 21 next week and I have to make two completely different cards for him, one from us and a second from my sister-in-law.

The second card is still a work in progress, as its a board book which I love making and I have some pictures from birth to twenty one to add. I am quite safe posting the cards on here before his birthday, as he is not a blog fan.

Feeling my age today

I'm definitely feeling my age today as Dan darling son is 17 today, so this time 17 years ago I had already been in labour for 30 hours and he was born at 12.36pm.

The tag card was made using the beautiful Cosmo Cricket papers called cogsmo, I just love the vibrancy of these papers.

All of the pages are bound together using the Bind it all and just a couple of toning ribbons to set the spine off.

I'm lovin Sugar Nellies

I am lovin my Sugar Nellie's, I have been stamping them onto my watercolour pad and sitting watching the rain whilst colouring them.
I have just taken delivery of the Halloween set of Sugar Nellie's so my challenge next week is to make some cards with them, in the delivery I ordered a "sweet Ebony" but i'm now not sure if I like it.

The background paper is Laura Ashley, backing card is Bazzill & the greeting is a Hero Arts stamp.

The backing paper is again from a Laura Ashley paper pack, the backing card is bazzill & the greeting is a Stamping Up Rub on.

The backing paper is from Dovecrafts masculine paper pack, the stars are cut with a Sizzix paddle punch from Bazzill bling card in 3 colours & the guitar is covered in 3d gloss.

I know this one isn't a sugar nellie but I made it tonight after seeing a card with these words in Marks & Spencers window, I thought it was so simple & very effective, I will make it in boy colours tomorrow. The font is cut on the Cricut from the mini monograms cartridge.

I want to say a big thank you to Robyn
The pink stamper
She has saved me a fortune, I watched some of her videos in bed the other night and she made some quick cards using the Cricut Mini Monograms cartridge. She used the scalloped circles. Now I have been toying with the idea of buying a couple of sets of Nestabilities to make the scalloped layers, I just love that effect. Well she makes her scalloped layers using her Cricut, it just goes to show how much I have looked at these cartridges.
So thank you Robyn.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
