Christmas In July ~ day 12

Christmas cards ~ you either love doing them or hate them. So these cards are showing you that just by changing a small element you can make a batch of cards appear completely different & thus save the brain from being frazzled by thinking up a completely unique design for each card. I think that is the hardest part of Christmas cards especially the family ones.

Christmas In July ~ day 6

Its so true what they say...........What the difference a day makes, yesterday evening I sat out in my garden until 9.30pm cutting out some stamped images, it was georgous, well tonight I would need to be either mad or clad in full wet weather gear, it is however still warm enough to have the french doors open so not completly wintery feeling weather. On a plus side, the rain has given me an extra hour to craft as I don't have to go out & water the garden.

So here we are on day 6 with a Christmas card inspired by Dawn at her demonstration on Saturday, when I find the template I will add it too this post, this is one of the easiest cards I have made for ages.

Christmas In July ~ day 4

Happy 4th of July

As promised another daily update on my early assault on Christmas ( every year I promise myself not to leave everything to the last minute so I can actually enjoy Christmas not snooze through as i'm completely shattered), the weather is georgous & I'm off to work in a while to help with a Christmas in July demonstration with the lovely Dawn from Docrafts. She always has such amazing ideas so i'm sure I will pick up some hints & tips during the day.

So enjoy your day in the sun whilst pondering when you will start your own Christmas assault.

Looking for inspiration for flower card swap

Over on ILWS I am running the may swap and it was decided that we would try a themed swap, Flowers everywhere is he chosen theme.

I have been searching around for inspiration & these are two of the cards I have come up with, I am not using either so i thought i would share them with you.

The card below is a winter cloche hat in chocolate chip the stamp in the flower is from the scandinavian season set from the Mini catalogue, this set is available until 30th September 2009. So if you fancy this georgous Christmas set its only available for a short time. You can place an order with me at anytime by e-mailling me.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
