Christmas training ~ Day 1

Christmas In July, so if you want to avoid the C word for a while longer I suggest you bookmark this weeks post and come back to them at your leisure.
Yesterday was Monica & Bekka's team training event at Peterborough, If you've read my earlier post you will know that the theme was getting ready for Christmas.
I love Christmas & everything about it, I start making lists early & when I see the right presents for someone I buy them, whatever time of year, so it will come as no surprise that I've already started my Christmas shopping.
The first thing we do as demonstrators at any Stampin' Up event is swap. so with the majority of the swapping out of the way we have a mixture of business & crafting with friends to enjoy.
Our first project was made using Pennant parade, a set I love, so I was very pleased to get some more inspiration.

So many things to share with you

I have so much to share with you that I am at bursting point, but as demo's we have been sworn to secrecy so basically what happened in Leeds stays in Leeds. So just for the time being I will share with you some of the fabulous swaps that I received at the regional training event in Leeds.

The training days  are always great fun Paula (  UK Business Development Manager ) & Kelly always make the events such fun but this year we were very fortunate to have the lovely Derek Christenson from the USA ( International Operations Manager ). Derek is a wonderful motivational speak & shares his love of all things Stampin' Up with a passion.
Both Derek & Paula did make & take demonstrations with new products that will be available from 1st April in the forthcoming Mini.
Derek did share a secret with us, When he struggles to remove the backing sheet from Dimensionals he runs his snail adhesive over it & it comes off easily, everyone was in stitches.

I will post again tomorrow with the rest of the swaps from regional training, in the meantime if you would like any information about Stampin' Up products or business opportunities then please contact me.

Off on a training Road trip

By the time that you read this post I will be in Leeds for the Regional training event, Sharon & I drove up last night and stayed at the hotel attached to the Conference centre at Weetwood Hall. I am officially excited as some of this training will be based on the forthcoming mini catalogue that is available from 1st April. So i'm sure that we'll get a copy of the catalogue.
As with all training events that are run by Stampin' Up & their demonstrators it is also a chance to swap cards & Inspiration. Unusually I started these swaps nearly two weeks ago & didn't leave it all until the last minute.

Corner Bookmark Swap

Starting with a 10cm square you need to mark the 5cm point on three sides, so you can cut to an equal point.
The square  end can then be punched with one of the border punches, I have used the eyelet border.
The designer series paper was cut to 8.5cm square & then cut in half along the diagonal. Score 70mm in on each of the shorter lengths to make the folds to be able to glue the designer series paper to make the corner pouch that will slip over your page.

I have made 40 swaps for this event.

To make this swap I have used:
Card
Basic Black
Very vanilla
Ink
Cherry Cobbler
Daffodil delight
Poppy Parade
Concord Crush
Blushing bride
Crumb Cake
Whisper white
Stamps
Just believe
Punch Pot Pourri
Tools
Bird Punch
Boho Blossoms punch
Large heart punch
Eyelet border punch
Heat tool
Clear embossing powder
Designer series papers
Love letters

I will be back later in the week when I have recovered to share with you the swaps that I've received.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
