Thank you to everyone who swapped with me at the Leamington event, I will post more of my swaps tomorrow.
If you fancy joining my Stampin' Up team please contact me to discuss your creative journey.

Leamington Spa & regional training

At the weekend Sharon, Veronika & I made the 9 1/2 hour journey from Norwich to Leamington Spa, I know what your all thinking 9 1/2 hours! maybe they got lost. No we didn't get lost, but we did have great fun on our road trip as we took the creative route via two craft shops & we stopped for a lovely pub lunch. About an hour after lunch I craved cake & where better to stop for cake & coffee but Ikea, en route I googled Ikea just to see if there was a store near our training event & we were only 3 miles from Coventry. So after some more shopping we eventually arrived in our hotel some 9 1/2 hours after leaving Norwich.
Sharon still had swaps to finish & we both had name badges to make so out of the car came half of Sharon's craft room, i'm not joking. We sat up until midnight crafting eating Crisps & Choccie & drinking a glass of wine or two.
Stampin' Up is a great company to work for one of the greatest things is " Share what we love, & love what we do" this is never truer than at a Stampin' Up event. After registration one of the first activities is swapping, the theme for this event was " Summer Mini ".

These are 2 of the 35 swaps I managed, I often make the same card & just use different colour ways. The set I've used for the swap is from the summer mini & is called Bordering On Romance.
Every demonstrator that takes part will make up a project or a card front to swap with the other demo's this year I managed 35 swaps.
This is a great source of inspiration and helps to showcase  many different styles on your demo boards at our own events.
I received some great swaps and I will share them with you over the next couple of days. For me there is always a swap that stands out, this can be for many different reasons maybe a colour way I don't normally choose, A technique that is new to me, A stamp set that I didn't need but after seeing a great sample has now moved to the top of my list or just the creativity & work involved.
This sample was made by a fellow demo Sue Ralph
For me the sample that is my favourite had not just one but all of those elements. Thank you Sue for swapping with me.

What kind of Demonstrator will you be?

Whether you want to purchase your own stamping supplies at a discount, earn some extra money from your hobby, or to build a business, Stampin' Up! provides you with the opportunity to reach your goals.

DISCOUNT DEMONSTRATOR:

You like the idea of buying stamps and supplies for your personal use at a 20% discount and occasionally selling to neighbours, relatives, friends etc.

SEASONAL DEMONSTRATOR:

You work hard for a short period of time or season to earn a specific amount of money or to achieve a specific goal, and then you maintain minimum orders and sales during the rest of the year.

HOBBY DEMONSTRATOR:

You love doing workshops and earning extra money when it is convenient. You work alot some months and very little other months. You will do workshops if they are easy to book, and maybe have a regular group that meets together once a month. You enjoy the rewards that being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator brings, but you don't plan to make Stampin' Up! a career.

CAREER DEMONSTRATOR:

You view Stampin' Up! as a viable business with long-term career potential. You pursue a management role, and you want to continue moving up with your Stampin' Up! career. You love attending Stampin' Up! events and have close relationships with other demonstrators. You work at your business in a consistent and outgoing manner.

As you can see, this is a fun, flexible business you can build to suit your individual needs and goals.

Sharing

I love working for a company that encourages us to share what we love & love what we do.
At all of the Stampin' Up events weather its regional training or team training or at the largest event which is our yearly conference there are always display boards filled with hundreds of samples. I love these boards as they always show a variety of very different styles. At the yearly convention we join up with fellow demonstrators from France & Germany & whilst they use the same range of products as us here in the UK their style is very different.
This year at regional training we were all asked to supply a project made from the products on offer in the new summer 2012 Mini catalogue.
Here is the project I made for the Inspiration Board.

Using the Bordering On Romance set, the picture is not the best as the lighting in the hotel room was not too good.

Here are some of the other projects from the Inspiration Board

During the training event we had demos from Charlotte from Stampin' Up & a fellow demo Jenny McCormac These are what they shared with us.

I feel very lucky to able to share in these Ladies creativity.

Free Stamps

Today I have spent a very inspiring day at a Stampin' Up regional training event, these events are designed to support & inspire demonstrators.
One of the great things about working for Stampin' Up is the extended support from a huge family of demonstrators, so we all get to know each other we make ourselves name badges, Sharon & I made ours in the hotel room last night.

Sharon with her Up Up & Away name badge

Im loving the new Bordering on Romance Stamp set from the 2012 Summer Mini

They are a mixture of Sharing, Inspiring, Business & of course stamping & what better way to start stamping, with a free set of stamps.

EARN FREE STAMPS & MORE! ~ STAMPERS 10 CLUB

Just 1 place left in this group~Starting June 2012

When your wish list is longer than your shopping list, this is a terrific way to budget your purchases over a 10 month period & receive hostess benefits.

By purchasing £15 of Stampin’ Up! products a month for 10 months (Not including P + P), you build your stamping supplies, stay on budget & receive free goodies! Here’s how it works:
When you host a workshop, you need a minimum of £150 in sales to qualify for the hostess benefits which are  £25 of Hostess pounds to spend anywhere in the catalogue, although they do represent even better value when spent in the hostess section of the catalogue.
  • In a Stampers 10 club there are 10 members
  • The club runs for 10 months
  • Each member agrees to spend a minimum of £15 per month, before postage
  • Each month a different club member is the hostess
  • You do not actually have to host a workshop – it’s like having a virtual party
  • When it’s your turn to be the hostess, you are guaranteed to receive at least 25 Hostess pounds to spend in the catalogue
  • You’ll also get a free copy of the catalogue, if you don’t already have one
  • I will run a make & take workshop at my house, you dont have to attend but we do have fun.
By joining a Stampers 10 club, you get the chance to spread the cost while building up your collection & are still able to enjoy the free benefits.
It’s that simple!

Just think – hostess benefits without having to clean your house, prepare food or invite guests…what a deal! Membership DOES have its benefits!
If you are interested please ping me a message to reserve your space.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
