Something New For Saturday

I'm not here right now, the great force that is my main employment has decreed that I shall work another Saturday, so I thought I would share something with you in my absence.

126904 £6.25

I love this paper stack which was introduced in the Autumn & Winter catalogue. With a great price tag of just £6.25 you get 48 sheets of paper ( although it feels like card ) & if that's not enough to get you excited the sheets are double sided.
There are 12 different double sided designs with 4 sheets of each design Fun holiday colours. Versatile designs
The pages are great for card making as each sheet measures 11.4cm x 16.5cm
The co-ordinating colours are
Cherry Cobbler,
Crumb Cake,
Early Espresso,
Island Indigo,
Lucky Limeade, and of course Very Vanilla.
Many of these sheets are suitable for all year round, not just for Christmas.

If you would like to order one of these paper stacks please contact me.

Still trying !!

As hard as I try this week I still cannot escape from this colour palette & papers, I am trying honest, but I have seen so much inspiration around that I just want to create everything I see at the moment.

So here are today's cards, but you cant guess what colours I've used?

Can you guess what the up-cycled item is on this card?
The inspiration has come from one of my fellow Su demonstrators in Texas, I love the simplicity of her cards.

Big Hugs until tomorrow

Stampers 10 meeting

Tonight was my once a month Stampers 10 meeting & we had nearly a full house, It was lovely for me to be surrounded with special Stamping friends as well as my daughter Abi who joined as, she usually works on a Thursday evening.

Well I'm sure if you've been following my blog over the last couple of weeks you will guess which stamp set we used tonight, yes you guessed right Scentsational seasons, I think that this is my new Christmas Favourite, especially with the Framelits making it easy to cut out your stamped images in No time at all.

Top Tip ~ To make a very quick & easy Background for any card that is guaranteed to match perfectly you need two simple items that I'm sure all of you have in your craft stash. A pencil with a rubber on the end & a Versamark ink pad.
Simple using the rubber as your stamp, dip it into the versamark ink pad and randomly dot all over your card front remembering to stamp off the edges.................Cool and guaranteed to co-ordinate.

The second card that we made tonight is an Origami Christmas Tree, very simple yet very effective, this tree has 5 sections measuring 9cm, 8cm, 7cm, 6cm & 5cm square. Here is a link to the tutorial I used.

The smallest squares are a little tough to fold & a bone folder is a great tool for getting sharp creases.

The next stampers 10 evening is on Thursday 8th November I look forward to doing it all over again, the theme once again for the evening will be Christmas.

Are you feeling Festive yet?

Have you started your Christmas cards yet?

I know many of the Ladies that I see have started making their Christmas cards, some are even more than half way through their cards.

As for me I've started making mine, I have sketches ready for some more, but I have a bit of a problem, I just love the scentsational seasons stamp set & the co-ordinating framelits. so all of my cards at the moment are using the same set, even worse I am loving the new in-colours especially Gumball Green & Raspberry ripple.
I thought I would share with you some of the cards that I've made that fall into those two categories.

Three cards all in the same colour palette yet three totally different looks.

Check back tomorrow to see if I manage to find my way onto a different colour palette or even to dust off another stamp set.

Holidays are coming

I haven't seen that advert yet but I know that the Holidays are coming. As soon as the Children all went back to school in September all the parents & grandparents that came into the store at work were all talking about Christmas & I know that will go up another gear at the end of October after half term & Halloween.
Also I keep having to hoover the floor in the craft room so I don't lose the kittens under a layer of glitter.
So with all things festive I thought I would share a few cards I have been making with my current favourite set & colour palette.

I am just loving the colour combination of Whisper white on Gumball Green & Raspberry Ripple, I will be back tomorrow with some more festive cards.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
