Nearly there ~ Christmas eve

Bramble modelling the latest in canine headwear.

Good evening
Well I am glad to say I am nearly there, Paul is just wrapping the last few presents and Kirsten has iced the cake,

Just how she managed to break the wooden spoon in the icing, I really dont know.

Kirsten & Abi Licking the bowl ! the bowl they found a lump of wood in.

just got to keep the cats away from it now.
We had a lovely afternoon baking so now feel absolutely stuffed as I love baking but I rarely seem to find the time lately.
This morning we were at the butchers at 8o'clock and then had to take Abi for an emergency dental appointment thankfully its only her wisdom teeth coming through so hopefully the pain will subside in a day or two.

The picture of Bramble in his Christmas hat is a result of seeing Alison's gorgeous pictures of her dog, this picture took me nearly an hour to get & a very cross dog.

I guess all that's left for me to say is a very happy Christmas to you & yours.

As soon as I felt well enough I have decoarted the offending spoon & last night we had a presentation ceremony, Kizzy did see the funny side of it, I wish that I had my camera handy as her face was a picture.

Playing catch up

I feel that I have spent the whole day playing catch up, I blitzed the downstairs of my house, I was having a major pang of guilt as I completely ignored the layer of dust on Tuesday when I was off work, so today I couldn't put it off any longer. I then spent the next couple of hours bagging up 50+ bags of snowman poop & reindeer poop as little treats I am making. I have just tried to take some pictures but the light is so bad I will have to add them tomorrow.
I then moved onto my next list, ( I have lists everywhere at the moment ) Card orders from Paul's friends at work.

These were both made using the Cricut & the Cuttlebug, the embossed hearts are from a Stampin up set Happy hearts.

Then a few more of the family cards for the grandchildren. as we are going down to see them on Sunday, these included two Baby's first Christmas cards, it was then that i realised that I actually had 5 Baby's First Christmas cards to make, not all family I might add.

The above three cards are all made using the Nit wits collection "twas the night before Christmas".
I will pop back tomorrow with more cards from the next list.

I have about 10 more designs stamped and coloured to finish tomorrow and some card orders to finish before I can get on with making my goodies.

A special card from my lovely friend Dawn

Pink Gem Christmas cards

Gem is Janet's little dog, check out her blog he is so cute

Pink gem designs have some great rubber stamps designed by Janet herself.

All three of these cards are made using Pink Gem design stamps, the backing papers are from the Christmas pad by DCWV.
I have coloured all of the images using Brilliance ink pads, stamp the ink pad onto a plate and with a wet brush blend the colours into different shades.
The top image of the girl & snowman is coloured using a single ink pad, just using less more water for a paler colour.

High school musical Christmas cards

High school musical Christmas cards, the tree is cut using the Cricut Christmas cheer cartridge, the shadow layer is cut from pearlescent card stock & the top layer is cut from High School Musical wrapping paper available from the Disney store.
The floating star is cut from the paper and stuck onto acetate, then an acetate strip is put through the spine and the star is stuck on the end, looking like its floating.

Christmas candy canes

Christmas candy canes are part of the goody bags I am making, the candy canes are stuck onto card candy canes which I cut using the Cricut cartridge Christmas cheer.
I have just searched all over the city for mini marshmallows to use as snowman poo & chocolate raisins to use as reindeer poo. I eventually found both in Sainsburys , so I off to my craft room to make up some more bits for my goody bags.

Christmas has come to our lounge

We are feeling very festive now as we have two trees up in the lounge and another in the hall. The Christmas village is on the coffee table, this is Paul's village and each year it grows, well it has done until this year as I have been unable to find him any nice new cottages.
I am sure that I am not alone in realising that there are just 10 days now until Christmas, I still have a few presents to buy, EVERYTHING to wrap, a few more cards to make and all of the Christmas table decorations to make, oh and I still have to pop into work during the day to try and pacify very rude & grumpy customers.
I hope that everyone else is making good progress in the race towards Christmas.

21st Birthday

This is a very simple style, which s-i-l favours, the card is a very dark blue pearlescent shimmer card. The playing cards are from a set of mini cards that I found in our local game shop.
The letters are cut from the Cricut George & basic shapes cartridge
.

My nephew is 21 next week and I have to make two completely different cards for him, one from us and a second from my sister-in-law.

The second card is still a work in progress, as its a board book which I love making and I have some pictures from birth to twenty one to add. I am quite safe posting the cards on here before his birthday, as he is not a blog fan.

Pink Gem

Little Gem

Check out these cute stamps on Janet's blog.
Janet has just started designing her own stamps under the Pink Gem label, she also designs for Spiral Whisper.
I ordered some new stamps from Pink gem on Wednesday & they arrived this morning.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
