Creative weekend

What a creative weekend I managed a bracelet AND 3 layouts, the weather was just devine So inbetween catching some rays, eating fresh Cromer crab with Crusty bread I managed to find some crafting time.
I had a very busy weekstarting last Sunday with a day at Newmarket race course for the bead fair, Sale preview evening until 9pm on Monday & another late night on Tuesday with Stampin' Up regional training at Peterborough it was great to catch up with some fellow demonstrators & swap ideas. So by the time this weekend came I was ready to have some chilled time.

Stampin' Up Training

What a wonderful evening we had, though Paula & Kelly had a tough act to follow when we were evacuated from the hotel & the georgous crew from Peterborough fire station attended, they were a lovely bunch even waving for the camera, sadly someone put their head in front of the picture so I cant share it with you.

There was so much talent all in one room I was really inspired by the swaps I received. It is traditional when Stampin' Up demonstrators have a gathering that we make swap cards to share. There is nothing better than a crafty get together.

Here are some of the lovely cards i received, a few Christmas cards in the mix as well.

If you have ever fancied becoming a Stampin' Up demonstrator, then call me for a chat & I will share the benefits with you.

I love being a Stampin' Up demonstrator...............

2nd of the pair of Black & white canvases.

I have finished the 2nd of the two canvases for my Children, the blank canvas was originally a challenge I made on Jane.
They are proudly displayed on Mini easels in the lounge.

Road Trip

Yesterday was a fun day, we went on a road trip to Otley to visit the Paper Maze shop..............Jane, Alison, Abi & I all went to this scrapbookers paradise. Being a newbie scrapbooker I was in heaven and bought loads, that ncluded 5 big bags of buttons in various colour schemes and also some lovely scenic route papers, stickers & chipboard embellishments. You would think that with 3 scrapbookers one of us might have remebered a camera to take some pictures...............No not one picture.
Thanks for a lovely afternoon

My families clothes are no longer in danger of being raided, and you always thought it was the washing machine that mysteriously took all the buttons ! ! !
I can truthfully say I am no longer short of buttons

The mini book took over two hours on the night & was nowhere near completion, over the last couple of weeks between projects I have been finishing off the book. I still have all of the insides to complete using parcel labels and i still have to decide what theme to make the book into.......any ideas welcome, but here is the project so far.

The paper used is little yellow bicycle. The velvet Ric rac is by Maya road.

Own up girls, how's your mini book shaping up?

Blank canvas challenge

A few weeks back we had a crop & craft evening at my house, when Jane came in I handed her an 8 x 8 blank canvas. Jane as usual rose to the challenge & created this beautiful layout of her beautiful little girl.

As ever I am inspired by janes creativity & had a go at making canvases using her layout for inspiration.

Off to get some black & white buttons tomorrow to finish thsi off, but I was so pleased with it so far I just had to share it with you.

What a beautiful day

Despite the weather being absolutely beautiful I managed to spend some creative time indoors and scrap a couple of layouts.
It was lovely to just spend time around the house, something that we haven't done for a while, but with Abi still in a lot of pain going out wasn't an option, after spending Friday evening in hospital with her it was nice to just chill out today.

Yesterday I popped into the city to see my lovely friend Dawn who was doing the Raspberry ripple demonstration with the georgous new K & Co papes in Jarrolds. her samples were so lovely that I was tempted to buy a few bits, since finding the photobox website I have a back log of pictures waiting to be scrapped ...... to be truthful as I have only recently started to scrap I have about 18 years worth.

Papers & embellishments from the K & Co range wild Raspberry.

It got me!

Sunday was a funny day, i felt totally drained, John decided that it would be good to go out & road test my beautiful new camera. i just love the beach & always feel that it always grounds & re-balances me. On the drive out there the weather was really squally and stormy all around us.

I was so busy taking pictures of the rapidly changing weather that I didn't notice this huge wave as it soaked me right up to my knee's, all I could do was laugh and once I started I just couldn't stop.

I was stood 15' from where the last few waves broke

We ended the evening with a picnic of chow mein & chips in the car and guess who forgot to check if the chinese had disposable cutlery so we ended up eating chow mein with chop sticks in the car.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
