Crop day

Today turned into a lovely day spent with friends, despite the foul weather the turnout at Alison's crop was very good today, It was great to catch up with so many creative friends.
As usual I took loads to do but actually only managed to finish a single project which was left over from the Peterborough training event with Monica & Bekka.
The beautiful purse was the only project I didn't get to start on the day as I spent so long making my necklace from Buttons & I just loved making the scrapbook layout as I haven't scrapped for ages.
Despite a couple of false starts I managed to finish the bag.

My challenge this week is to use the leftover papers from the kit to make some little cards to fill the bag as a gift.
The papers used in this project are the Sweet & Sour speciality papers & everybody that came to chat with me yesterday commented on the quality & embossed finish of the papers, they really have to be seen first hand.

Sharing a training make & Take

I did promise earlier in the week that I would share with you the make & take projects from Peterborough training last weekend.
This was the scrapbook layout that was designed by Bekka.
She did the layout as a wedding layout, but mine was just the right colour's for a picture that I took of Abi just after she had run the race for life in 2009.

The flowers on the page are made using the wonderful Stampin' Up circle punches, that come in a variety of different sizes & make a project like this so easy.
The papers are available in the current Stampin' Up catalogue and are the luxurious Sweet & sour speciality papers. When I say Luxurious that really doesn't do them justice, some of the pages have a beautiful glazed pattern. In the middle of the flowers are buttons from the Brights collection topped off with the adhesive pearls.

Don't forget to check back to see some of the beautiful swaps I received.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
