The wedding was lovely & the weather was kind

The wedding went off without a hitch, Gemma & Jono were lucky with the weather that managed to be kind & not rain on their special day.

Special delivery

Desspite having to work on Saturday I didn't let it ruin my weekend as within an hour of getting home we had a very special little delivery two of our beautiful grandsons & they were staying over night. Not that I got that much of a look in as Uncle Dan & Auntie Abi looked after our little guests.

We did spend a couple of hours at the walk in centre this afternoon as our harvey had a rash, and being Grandma I wanted to get it checked out.

I did manage to get a couple of lovely pictures of our cheeky little chaps. A few more for the scrapbook.

Where did October Go?

Where did October go?

October thankfully has gone & we hope for a better November with more highs & less lows. Its always a hard month for us as a family as we have the anniversary of both my dad & Pauls dad. Then Pauls Birthday he turned 50 this year and we went out for a
lovely family meal to one of our favourite restaurants mambo Jambo's.

Earlier in the month was a definate high when I did a day retreat with Dawn and made some lovely projects.
Then we had the low of my Mum being rushed into hospital, she had been in hospital for 4 days before anyone contacted me so you can imagine how I felt & only when she had to sign the consent form for major surgery did she tell them I was her next of kin.
So a trip to Reading to see her & try & get to the bottom of what was happening, all of this was just 2 days before the anniversary of my Dad, so the train journey was filled with apprehension. Thankfully she is now hme from Hospital & is recovering as expected, hopefully the battles with social services over her care are now sorted & she will continue to make progress.

Then we did manage a few days away at Hopton but sadly during our few days away we had the news that Pauls uncle had died, this affected Paul badly as he is now the oldest male member of the family at 49, so we came home from holiday early.

Half term was lovely as we had Abi's Boyfriend Jakee visiting & Pauls 50th Birthday. On the Saturday after half term Jake went off to make his first run on the drag strip in the Camaro, he said it was an amazing experience & once Abi had spoken to him she stopped fretting.

Twins

Last Sunday we went back to Bracknell to visit my Mum & try to sort out her care package. Whilst we were there we had a lovely family lunch with James, kerry & the boys & pauls cousin Louise who had come all the way from Australia for the funeral.

Wednesday saw us back to Bracknell again for the funeral which thankfully went without a hitch & gave us a chance to catch up with family & friends.

So all i can say is I am glad it's now November & hopefully back to somewhere near normal. You never know maybe the next post may actually contain a craft project or two, I think I will need a map to get to my craft room.

A few days away

Well we did manage a few days away despite everything & before we came home prematurely today we went down to the beach so I could try out Dan's lens & take a few pictures.

The tide was coming in & the sea was spectacular

Abi looks so deep in thought

Paul was caught unawares

Family Fun

I had a picture in my head and as so often happens what ends up on the paper is nothing like the vision in my head, and this is one of those times.

The card is bazzill & the paper is Daisy D's

An amazing experience

What an amazing day we had yesterday, as a family we all went out to Banham zoo, they had so many babies & all the animals were very active except the Tigers which are Pauls favourite. My Sister in law paid for the 4 children to get up close & personal with the Giraffes in their new exclosure & feed them. They all loved it & agreed it was the best experience ever. The giraffes were inches away & truly amazing creatures.

We have our Grandson for his birthday weekend and he loved feeding these gentle giants, so I made his Birthday card with pictures from the feeding frenzy & then he went & had his face painted to look like a Giraffe.

If you are fortunate enough to go to Banham zoo, it is well worth paying the extra to feed the giraffes especially while there is a baby in the pack.

Castle Carvery Caister A family night out

Jimbo & Harvey in the arcades at Great Yarmouth

Harvey in the ball pool at the castle carvery Caister.

Harvey had just woken up & wondered if Daddy had left him any dinner

I love this picture of Harvey in the ball pond, it's a bit arty.

Abi can spend hours on the 2p machines in the arcade with just a couple of pounds.

Dan on the other hand can spend £'s on the time crisis machine in just minutes.

Cats

Last night we all went out as a family, which is a feat in itself with a teenager & a nearly teenager. We went into Norwich to the theatre to see the musical CATS. I have seen it before in the west end, so I had something to compere it too, but I can truthfully say it was every bit as magical as the first time I saw it & even the kids enjoyed it. Abi who is musical has played a couple of the pieces in school concerts so she was able to sing a long.

Happy Easter

Boo the adventurous

Happy Easter everyone, its snowing here in Norwich and has been since just before eight this morning, Boo the adventurous has been outside but sassy is asleep on one of the beds & The dog just keeps looking out into the garden hoping it will go soon as he's not very brave.

Hubby is pacing around as we have no satellite signal and Chelsea are playing this afternoon.

I dont mind the snow, it make great pictures & I can happily spend the afternoon in my craft room finishing projects off.

Football

Yesterday Hubby & Abi had corporate tickets to see Norwich play at Carrow road, despite rain most of Friday night & snow showers on & off Saturday Morning the game went ahead, as usual when one of us goes we are fortunate enough to see Norwich score a goal or two, but yesterday they excelled themselves beating Colchester 5 - 1.
I think really she only went for the three course meal in Delia's restaurant, so Norwich winning was a bonus, that and the new clothes she got the day before to comply with the strict dress code, every teenage girl has loads of clothes, but how many have an outfit that would comply with a strict dress code?

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
