Scrap Happy Crop Make & Take

Yesterday Alison asked if I would like to do an Easter themed Stampin' Up demo at yesterdays crop, despite being my birthday, I thought it would be a fun way to spend my Birthday with my Crafty friends.

I made the same card in two colour ways the reverse of each other.

The first one has a Tangerine Tango base

The second card has a Melon mambo base

The flower is made with the extra large Flower accent punch cut into three layers, one side is spritzed with water & moulded round the top of the Tombow glue bottle & then left to dry, repeat for each layer of the flower.

Cardstock
Whisper White
Melon mambo
Tangerine Tango
Ink
Wild Wasabi
Melon mambo
Tools
Extra Large Flower accent punch
Boho blossom punch
Modern Label punch
Word Window punch
Oval punch
Scallop oval punch
Papers
Designer Series paper stack ~ Brights

The mist that I used to spritz the flowers is made from Distilled water, Isopropyl Alcohol & Champagne Mist shimmer paint mixed in a spritzing bottle.

All the products in this project are from Stampin' Up

Easter Flowers

Would you believe me if I told you I went into my craft room this morning with the intention of making my Mum's Mothers day card, but Lying on the desk were some part kits from last weeks stampers 10 that didn't get used, I hate waste so I started on the kit pieces to make up some samples. So now its nearly quarter to four & I still haven't made a Mothers day card, Where does the day go? Who steals the hours? Cos If I find them i'll be chasing them off.

Some of the cards I made today I cant share until after the release of the new Mini catalogue on Friday.

Last Nights Stampers 6

Last night was the penultimate meeting of my current stampers 6 group, the evening followed a lovely sunny day here in Norfolk so my cards reflect the sunny mood.
The inspiration came from Carol a fellow demonstrator & a bookmark swap I received on Saturday at the regional training event. I love the different spritzed flowers that are showing up on everyones blogs at the moment.
Carol had two lovely colour ways one in the Brights palette & a second option in the Subtles palette, I chose to open up my Colour coach & use the combination that fell open

Projects like this that use lots of punches are ideal for making large batches of cards, like invitations or thank you cards. The punches make these cards very easy to make.

Check out Carols blog she has some amazing projects & I just love her style.

Off on a training Road trip

By the time that you read this post I will be in Leeds for the Regional training event, Sharon & I drove up last night and stayed at the hotel attached to the Conference centre at Weetwood Hall. I am officially excited as some of this training will be based on the forthcoming mini catalogue that is available from 1st April. So i'm sure that we'll get a copy of the catalogue.
As with all training events that are run by Stampin' Up & their demonstrators it is also a chance to swap cards & Inspiration. Unusually I started these swaps nearly two weeks ago & didn't leave it all until the last minute.

Corner Bookmark Swap

Starting with a 10cm square you need to mark the 5cm point on three sides, so you can cut to an equal point.
The square  end can then be punched with one of the border punches, I have used the eyelet border.
The designer series paper was cut to 8.5cm square & then cut in half along the diagonal. Score 70mm in on each of the shorter lengths to make the folds to be able to glue the designer series paper to make the corner pouch that will slip over your page.

I have made 40 swaps for this event.

To make this swap I have used:
Card
Basic Black
Very vanilla
Ink
Cherry Cobbler
Daffodil delight
Poppy Parade
Concord Crush
Blushing bride
Crumb Cake
Whisper white
Stamps
Just believe
Punch Pot Pourri
Tools
Bird Punch
Boho Blossoms punch
Large heart punch
Eyelet border punch
Heat tool
Clear embossing powder
Designer series papers
Love letters

I will be back later in the week when I have recovered to share with you the swaps that I've received.

Two classes this week

mThis week has been a really busy week in Stampin'Up world with both my stampers 10 & stampers 6 classes this week.

Both classes were very lively this week & to add to the mix we made the first card using the baby wipe technique, many of my ladies had never tried this technique, but by the end of the evening everybody was fascinated by the amazing variety of colour variations achieved using just a few re-inkers and a simple baby wipe.

The stamp set used for these cards is the just believe set that we were given at Convention in November.
The card has a pouch which contains a removable bookmark.

The second card is one that my downline Sharon recently  taught one of her groups, I think the original inspiration for this card card came from Monica.
The card uses the Sale~A~Bration set sweet summer.

I'm sitting typing this one handed at the moment as I have a very heavily pregnant cat sitting on my chest & shoulder, much to my ladies disappointment Maddie is yet to have her kittens, but I am sure it wont be long.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
