Valentines For Hubby

For the first time ever Stampin' Up have added a paper pack to the Sale-A-Bration promotion & it is such a beautiful pack it will be a shame when the promotion ends & the papers are no longer available.

I saw an idea whilst browsing on pinterest and someone had made a beautiful picture with a similar layout to this card, but they had used the beautiful wings embosslit die & cardstock. Well or valentines day I used the Heart to Heart Punch & made this card.

By cutting an assortment of hearts using the different Double sided Everyday Enchantment papers I achieved the effect of texture, some hearts are stuck directly onto the card using Tombow adhesive & some hearts are overlapped & layered using the Stampin' Dimensional's.

In an attempt to get organised

I really do need to get organised, The craft room is a mess & I have barely set foot in there all summer, I have made No Christmas cards or projects, that is un-heard of. Dan went back to University on Monday we took him up to Nottingham to get ready for year 2 of his Computer Science degree, he has a very busy year ahead of him as not only will he be studying, she says hopefully, he is also president of the gaming society & now he has just found out he has got a place on the student ambassadors scheme. Well done Dan & good luck for Year 2.

I cant blame Dan for my lack of organisation, it has been a weird summer, I think the season we just had was summer, though Despite waking up full of hope for a beautiful day that would make everyone smiley & happy it never really materialised, I know we did have two nice days in April as one of them was my Birthday which I spent on Southwold beach eating Fish & Chips.

So in the hope that the next 3 months will be a little more organised I made this, so far I've only made one, but I think I could do with one in every room of the house if I am going to crack this organisation thing.

I love the bright colours from the Designer series paper patterns stack

So do you think this is the start of me being super organised? Answers on a postcard.........................

If you are interested in the Designer Series Paper patterns stacks her are the options currently available. A new set of in-colours will be added to the range from 1st October 2011

These are an absolute bargain at £15.50 for 40 double sided sheets it works out at just 39pence per sheet.

Another tool for organisation

There are a lot of things I love in life one of them is organisation & I have made this Birthday card box as an aid to being organised, another thing I like in life is making 3d projects.

Can you guess what this project started life as? It is recycled ......... Can you guess?

I do have the Calender sheets saved as a word document, If you would like these e-mailed to you please drop me an e-mail at lovellsinnorfolk@hotmail.co.uk I am looking into how to convert them into a PDF file when I can I will update this post to add a link.

Have you guessed what the Birthday box started life as? It was a cat food sachets box.

Supplies need for this project.

My Beautiful Baby is 16 today

I'm feeling father nostalgic today as my baby is 16, I know we all say it but I cannot believe how fast time flies by. Poor Abi has her second day of exams today, she has worked hard & revised for months, so I have everything crossed.
We are off out for a quick meal tonight so she can get back early & revise, we're off to the Waffle House in Norwich I've never been before &I know it will definitely blow the pro points budget, good job we are all going for our weigh in before we go & have a whole week to work it off.
All weekend I was making samples for the forthcoming all day event, every time  Abi popped into the craft room she hinted that she wanted her card made using the Baby Blossoms set which suited the card I had in mind perfectly.

Easter surprises

I have been playing with the Easter stamps again this week & I love the effect that can be achieved with the addition of a simple sheet of post it note as a mask.

I cannot believe that I am Mum to a 19 year old

I really cannot believe that I am Mum to a 19 year old, where does the time go? Happy Birthday Dan I hope you have a wonderful 20th year.
It has been quite a week in our household, starting with A level results & Dan got 'A' levels in Photography & psychology which means he now has 13 GCSE's & 6 'A' Levels which meant that he had the grades he needed to get into his first choice university at Nottingham Trent. Then Came GCSE results for Abi who got 4 B's & 5 C's which is a very good start on the exams she has taken & she is already looking towards year 11.
Last week my website went live which Dan & Paul have designed for me to advertise my new venture a bunting hire company, so if you need to decorate an event then take a look www.lavenderbunting.co.uk so I have been working hard during the evenings and weekends making the beautiful bunting. Last week I was making some beautiful boy bunting & dying the cotton tape turquoise I had a mishap & too many things on my mind, I went to fish the cotton tape out of the dye & instead of using the wooden spoon that was sat next to the bowl I plunged my hands in. Much to my family's amusement I spent the next few days looking like a smurf.
I made Dan a card for his birthday using some Scrapbook papers that I had for a layout with a photographic theme.
The words on the card are stamped with Basic phrases set & 'Dan' is stamped with the Just perfect alphabet also from Stampin' Up.

crop day

I love crop day
Its the one day in the month that Abi & I get to spend time alone together, eat junk food & chat to other crafters.

I even managed to complete a double layout, I think this is the first layout I have managed to complete in about a month, maybe even longer. Well I had to finish it when we got home, despite being super organised this morning I had a bit of a headache, I think that extra glass of wine may have had something to do with it! ! I forgot to print off the photo's I wanted to use.

The layout uses the Stampin' Up set Circle circus, Just perfect alphabet, The Stampin' Up circle punches & the Bold brights colour palette.

Alison had even baked a yummy Coffee cake which melted in the mouth as we had two birthdays, everyone sang Happy Birthday to Daphne & I, it was a lovely day. Thanks go to Ann who came & collected us so we could take extra stash with us.

All of the products used in this project are from Stampin' Up & are available to purchase through me.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
