I am Lovin' distressing

At my last stampers 10 meeting Michelle showed how to use the distressing tool, that was it I am now totally hooked, I just had to order one. Well now it's here I will be adding some distressed projects over the coming weeks.

The Cutter kit

The cutter kit has four different tools on a keychain and comes in a plastic wallet. What are they and what do they do?

Distressing tool - This seven sided tool is perfect for distressing the edges of your card stock, great for an aged or grunge look. I used it on the card in my last post. It is much easier than using scissors.

Scoring tool - OK we all have a regular scoring tool, normally on our paper cutter. BUT, can it score curves? Why do I need to score curves I hear you say...for pillow boxes perhaps!

Perforating tool - Makes a cut that looks like this, --------------------. Comes in handy for bookmark cards.

Rotary cutter - the perfect tool for cutting curves and wavy lines. Used on this card.

This kit is also great for on the go, when you haven't got the room to carry your larger paper cutter.

Wording shamelesly borrowed from Michelle's blog.

Choo choo is right on track

My little buddy next door was 6 this week so I thought I would try out a couple of my new Stampin' up sets from the mini catalogue.

The colours are from the Bold brights range.

If you love either the stamp set or the wheel they are in he current mini catalogue and will only be available untill the 30th September, if you wish to order any products or find out about holding a party or becoming a demonstrator please e-mail me.

Sunday morning Scrappin'

I have spent Sunday morning scrappin in my Pj's

Dan has recently been accepted on a Phototgraphy A level course at the city college, he is doing that alongside A level Psychology & O U Java programming course, so the next year is going to be very busy for him. He has been out & about with his camera & a couple of his friends.

The hat is supposed to keep the sun off his head, I think it worked better as a prop on this occasion.

The pictures are taken in Earlham woods

The papers and inspiration are from the Sarahs cards kit for July.

Dreaming

Dreaming ~ I used to dream of people, events etc just like everybody else...............Now I dream scrapbook layouts.
I think I need to go to that little club & hold my hand up and say " My name is Lisa & I am addicted...........!"

I just love bunting at the moment & knew that this picture would look good with the bunting.

Dan & his friends had a day out at Waxham beach to celebrate finishing their A levels, it was glorious all week, it was glorious in the city & they drove out to Waxham & it was blowing a hoolie & freezing cold, they still had a good day.

Kits

A few months back when i really became gripped by the scrpabooking bug I asked around for advice on peoples favourite kits, as I feared if I always chose my own materials everything would be pink, glittery & blinged to within an inch of its life.
One of the kits that was recommended was Sarahs cards kits
The contents are excellent & this is the second kit i've had & I just love them, they contain papers & elements I wouldn't have chosen & many that are not widely available on the High Street.

The pictures are from Abi's 14th Birthday back in May

If anyone knows of any other great kit companies please let me know as I would love to try others as well.

I am here

I am still here & so is Christmas in July
I have had a migraine this week so have spent as little time as possible on my laptop & only pre-loaded posts have been added this week. All of the projects are ready to go & I will work on getting the piccies edited and uploaded over the next 48 hours.

Christmas in July Day 26

Batch card ~ Day 3

Over these three days I have made batch cards, where you start off with the same basic component or embellishment & then just compose the card differently either by layout or colour coordination.

These three cards are very very simple and would be easy to make in a batch, all three cards are very different with the single common element of the snowman in the scallop circle.

A little word of wisdom

When you find yourself stressed,
ask yourself one question:
Will this matter in 5 years from now?
If yes, then do something about the situation.
If no, then let it go.!!!

So very very true.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
