From a kit

At a risk of repeating myself I am loving Sarahscards ~ scrapbooking kits

.

I love these kits as they take me out of my comfort zone, as they contain items that I am not naturally drawn too. If I chose all of my own scrapbooking stash I think it would follow the theme of pink, glittery, loads of flowers and bling by the lorry load, this has made me very consious to try & not bling every layout.

A week ago today

A week ago today i was the proudest Mummy on the planet.

Dan along with many others got his long awaited A level results, well 3 out of the 4 as one was missing.

So to add to his 12 GSCE's he now has A levels in
Maths
Further Maths
IT
Chemistry

needless to say we all went out to celebrate & I was so excited I was struggled to concentrate on anything for the rest of the week.

OKay I admit I have been a bad blogger

Thank you everyone for poking me with the sharp stick of guilt this week, I have been a bad blogger for the last couple of weeks, so here I am back with some catch up posts.
We have been fortunate enough to have been able to spend some quality family time
with kids & grand kids so lots of lovely picture opportunities, & hand in hand with that lots of scrap booking opportunites.

So here are a few of the pages I have made over the last couple of weeks.

Sweetie pie

Abi has the biggest, most beautiful eyes ever, they change colour when she cries or is ill, but she does like to make them look bigger still. She can even do her make up on the move.

She does make me chuckle, she was wandering around the house doing her make up.

I have recently found the photo machines in Boots not only make small pictures 4 on a 5 x 7 sheet & also 2 on a 5 x 7 sheet but the also make photo collages, I did one a couple of weeks ago of a trip to the beach to try out my new camera, This one is of some of the many pictures I took at this years race for life event.

The papers for this layout include
Bazzill swiss dots
Little yellow bicycle

Yarmouth Summer nights

Yarmouth tourist board put on a firework display during the 6 weeks of the summer holidays every wednesday with a roadshow & entertainment. We went over last night with John. As usual I took my camera & had a play.

I love the pictures of the moon over the sea.

John needed a new profile picture so he was posing on the groynes.

Family Fun

I had a picture in my head and as so often happens what ends up on the paper is nothing like the vision in my head, and this is one of those times.

The card is bazzill & the paper is Daisy D's

The many faces of Abi

I get much of my scrapbook inspiration from the pictures I take of Abi, she loves posing in front of the camera & is so patient when I get the camera out, she is even beginning to look at different items as props, her latest being a £3 transparent bubble umbrella from Primark.................So watch this space for the next photo shoot.

Here are some piccies I took of the many faces of Abi.

More from the Sarahs kit

I am still working through all of the goodies from my sarah's scrapbooking kit.
It's not often Paul will pose for a picture, so this could be a rare layout.

Eloise is on the wall !

I decided to have a play with all four pictures I took of Eloise in the park at the lowestoft air show, with my new camera I can take pictures in quick sucession, a feature that I absolutely love.

Pictures are edited in photobox

More papers & inspiration from the July kit by Sarahs cards

Another lazy afternoon spent scrapbooking

Another Sunday afternoon spent scrapbooking

I am still using the June kit from Sarah's cards & I still have loads left, so whoever recommended that site a big thank you. I am now looking forward to the 20th of the
month when next months kit arrives. If anyone knows of any other good kit sites then please let me know as I am enjoying experimenting with products & papers I wouldn't normally choose.

I am lovin the Sassafrass papers at the moment.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
