Shelby Squirrel Punch art

My favourite punch art is the last one of the month, where did April go?
Shelby was inspired by a fellow USA demo's squirrel he is so cute & even the tree is punched using the scallop circle.

I promise that i'll keep working at the flowers & when I work some out I will add them to my blog. However on my blogging travels I found an amazing lady who has mastered the art of punched flowers, check out her blog for inspiration, truly remarkable.

Floral punch art

These floral punch art are really challenging me, to anyone who knows there flowers they are probably the easiest of the punch art, but truthfully the only time I have ever had green fingers is when I am using a green ink pad.
So the flowers are a challenge, here is todays offering, its supposed to be a sunflower, one of the few flower names that I know.

Fond farewell

My challenge for may has been right there staring me in the face the whole time.
With the Stampin' Up colour renovation happening in October I thought I would use that as the my much needed personal challenge.
There are 36 colours that are being retired in october, some of the colours I loved whilst others I've, so my challenge is to use at least one of hardly ever used, the retired colours in my daily project. This can be included as cardstock, ink, ribbon or embellishment.
So check back during may to see how I get on.

Harmoy hippo

The inspiration for harmony was taken from a fellow demo's blog, she had made a lovely baby welcome card but being an American demo she has access to quite a few more punches than we do here in the Uk so I had to improvise a lot with Harmony, but that said I was very pleased with the results.

Spring flowers punch art

I guess that these aren't just for spreing but the colours are spring like. I have decided this week to try my hand at a variety of punch art flowers & see how many I can make, I dont know many flower names so I will not even try to name them.

What a fantastic day

After much preparation the 1st Stampin' Up experience day with fellow Demonstrators Sharon & Michelle finally arrived.

On the third attempt we were on the road to the village hall, It is a lovely new hall surrounded by fields.
As they say that many hands make light work the hall was quickly set up so A big thank you also has to go to Paul, Abi & Shaun.
We didn't have long to catch our breath before the first of our 30 ladies arrived.
We had a lovely project planned for the Morning, a super cute handbag using the new sweet pea papers & four 4 x 4 co-ordinating cards.

Tote bag & Cards

I need a new challenge

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to let me know how much tou've enjoyed my collection of punch art, i'm quite sad that April my self inflicted punch art month is drawing to a close, I am already working on Halloweeen & Festive punch art for later in the year when they become more time appropriate.
So I am just sitting here pondering what May's challenge should be?
I value your feedback so please let me know if you have any ideas.

Cute Pansy panda

I keep looking at the punches & am trying to work out if it's possible to make all of the zoo animals & then I would be able to make some scrapbook pages with some of our zoo piccies

Virtual hostess club

Have you ever wondered what a Virtual Hostess club entails?

A Virtual Hostess club is an opportunity for you to build a nice collection of NEW Stampin’ Up! product over a period of time while spreading the cost and ensuring you are still receiving the fantastic hostess benefits associated with a qualifying order. A qualifying order has a value of minimum £150. For this the hostess is eligible to the following FREE benefits

-One level one hostess stamp set of her choice (those are sets that cannot be bought, they can only be earned free with qualifying orders of £150 or more)

-£15.00 worth of free product to be spent as you wish in the catalogue.

So here comes our Virtual Workshop:

6 people get together ( I advertise for those people you don't have to provide 6 of them yourself, although of course if you know a crafting buddy who will love being part of this please let her/him know) and form a club, the club runs for 6 months, each member agrees to place a minimum order of £25.00/ month plus p&p. This will give us the minimum qualifying order we need every month. Each month a DIFFERENT member in the club gets to be the hostess and collects all the free benefits associated with that month's total. By the end of the 6 months all the members in the club will have had their turn to be the hostess. The virtual hostess club will start as soon as it is full.

It's as easy as that and each month a box of goodies will drop on your doorstep.

As part of my club you will get a FREE copy of the catalogue and any mini catalogues released through the club duration

Every month I will supply one of the following

  • A project kit with details on my blog
  • Product samples
  • Tutorial or template online.

On a roll with another Layout

Being the Ditz that I can sometimes be I went to the crop on Saturday all organised, or so I thought but I was wrong footed when I realised that I'd forgotten to print off the photo's that I intended to use. It's very unusual for me to go to the crop with a pre conceived idea of what I want to do for a layout.
I had seen a project using some of the components in this layout in a card project in craft stamper & I was inspired to make the idea into a layout.Abi did a photo shoot last summer for a friend & I recently got the pictures, they are so lovely, usually i'm not a fan of posed pictures but these are so natural, I have revised my opinion as these aren't at all formal & so beautiful.

In this layout I have used
pretty in pink cardstock
Whisper white ink
Pixie pink ink
Acetate (non Su)
Stick on Gems ( non Su)
Scallop square punch
Flight of the butterfly stamp set
Baroque motif
Medallion

In the above layout all products unless specified are from Stampin' Up and are available to purchase through me.

I've been Cartoonized

A while back our department at work was asked to fill the page of a scrapbook as one of the trading directors was leaving & since none of us fancied having our picture taken, the responsibility of Cartoonizing us fell to Amanda who is a super talented cartoon artist, I love the cartoons that she did of me so I thought i'd share them with you and give you all a little chuckle.

Me as a cartoon
Me in my department at work
I intend to make a page layout to go in my Scrapbooking me album

Thank you Amanda.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
