Emboss Resist Technique

Today's cards are both made with the same technique, Emboss resist

This technique is so easy you ink your chosen stamps with Versamark ink & cover with White embossing powder, heat the images until the powder has melted & set aside to cool. Using sponge daubers build up the colour slowly until you have the desired effect.

I think that this beautiful project is my favourite from last weekends training event. The beautiful angel would be at home on your Christmas tree or equally for a table favour with a small gift inside or some special chocolates.

Christmas Training ~ Day 2

As promised her is another card we made at the weekends training event. When we were e-mailed with last minute instructions we were asked to bring a Brayer with us, this immediately struck me with fear, I dislike using a Brayer as I'm never very happy with the results, but hey I was very happy to give it a try, I must say that I do like this Ghosting technique.

Christmas training ~ Day 1

Christmas In July, so if you want to avoid the C word for a while longer I suggest you bookmark this weeks post and come back to them at your leisure.
Yesterday was Monica & Bekka's team training event at Peterborough, If you've read my earlier post you will know that the theme was getting ready for Christmas.
I love Christmas & everything about it, I start making lists early & when I see the right presents for someone I buy them, whatever time of year, so it will come as no surprise that I've already started my Christmas shopping.
The first thing we do as demonstrators at any Stampin' Up event is swap. so with the majority of the swapping out of the way we have a mixture of business & crafting with friends to enjoy.
Our first project was made using Pennant parade, a set I love, so I was very pleased to get some more inspiration.

So simple but definitely a WOW from me

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
