My first 10 card swap

Well I like a challenge so in my first week of joining Stampin Up I decided to join a 10 card swap on ILWS. The idea of the swap is too boost your sample board & to give a boost to your inspiration. A great idea as not everyone is in their comfort zone in all four of the colour families.

The idea is to compile a group of 10 people, each of those 10 people make 10 identical cards & send them off to the swap organiser, who then sorts them into 10 sets of different cards & then sends them back to each participant.
The deadline was very tight as I joined near the end of the swap, I managed to get my 10 cards to there destination in time to beat the deadline.

Stamps: Simply said, True friend, Wheel ~ Its Beautiful

Card: Whisper white, Pretty in Pink, Barely Banana

Ink: Barely Banana, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink

Accessories: Scallop punch, scoring board, d/s tape, glue

I am glad to say I am now totally in love with this set & I have mastered the two step stamping, so a big thank you Michelle for your excellent tuition.

1st Mini book

After looking at one of Janes Mini books on Friday night I was determind to have a go, I bought all the bits a couple of weeks back after all of the new Bo bunny stock arrived at work so I had no excuses. I was very pleased with the way it all turned out. All of the photo's were taken on location in Corfu.

Well I am totally hooked, sorry I should say inspired to make more Mini boks on different subjects.
When Abi saw this she didn't want me to give it away, as it was my first one I wish I could have kept it too, but I didn't have time to make another one to send to my Mum as a mothers day card.

Stampin up ~ Stampers 10 challenge

Michelle our stampers 10 demonstrator has started a stampers 10 challenge.
The theme of this challenge is green for St Patricks day & must contain Stampin up products.

The stamp set I have chosen is the Polka dot punches from the recent sale a bration I stamped the images using Versamark ink & embossed with white embossing powder. The paper is also Stampin up & I have cut out the corner using the large scalloped circle pinch and out of the waste cut a smaller circle. The cardstock is certainly celery.

Once I got started on the green theme I was on a roll so heres a couple more cards

The flower on the above card is from a Stampin up set called seeing spots, cardstock and paper are all Stampin up. I used a versamark ink pad before using my Stampin up ink & was able to emboss using clear embossing powder.

Again Polka dot punches from Stampin up and Stampin up double sided paper.

Today in Norwich started beautifully with bright sunshine, it's a shame I didn't think to photograph my cards then but at 6.45 that wasn't the first thing on my mind.so when I tried this afternoon the light was so poor I really struggled. As I desperately wanted to post these tonight I had one of my daft ideas. I used blu tack and stuck my cards to the painted wall & got Paul to angle the light like a spotlight & hey presto the best pictures I have managed to take all day.

Daft idea or brainwave...................... you decide.

Cupcakes Anyone?

Crazy for cupcakes has another outing, I just love this set, this time I have added some paper piecing. The cardstock is all stampin up, The letters and the scalloped circle, ribbon slider are all from the Cricut cartridge Mini Monograms.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
