Introducing our newest addition.

Talulah Mae

I have always wanted a grey cat, we already have two cats & a Yorkshire terrier dog, so Talulah Mae is the newest addition to our family.
She arrived last night on Abi's 13th birthday.
Someone we know told as a few weeks ago that her sisters cat had a litter of kittens and some of them were grey. Last night her son knocked and asked if we still wanted a grey kitten, 10 minutes later he was back with this tiny bundle in his arms. We had no kitten food, so paul had to go out & get some.
She has settled well with the dog & my tabby cat Bayleigh Boo, but my black cat Sassy keeps hissing at her.
The only problem is I think she was a bit young to leave home as she has a very runny bottom & is not yet cleaning herself properly, so i have spent the day wiping a runny bum, I thought those days were over!! I have now given her chicken & boiled rice.
She is so cute, I just hope everything settles back down soon.

Abi's Birthday card my first board book card

I have seen lots of the kits around on american web sites, but the postage was prohibitive so I decided to make my own using 500gsm card which was 90pence for an A2 sheet, the ws design template letters, acrylic paints, glamour dust, 12 x 12" papers in co-ordinating colours and scraps of ribbon. The glittery flowers are from the k & co range sweet berry.

1. cut a strip of card the height of each letter template, you need 1 strip for each letter.
2. draw the letter on the right hand side of the piece of card, and cut around the outside edge of the letter.
3. line up the letters to form the name whilst holding them all in place turn them over & mark a line on the reverse. Cut each piece so they form the basic book shape.
4. using the off cuts if possible draw around each of the letters again that you need for the book, then paint these with a co-ordinating acrylic paint & leave to dry.
5. whilst they are drying cover each page with 12 x 12 backing paper both on the back & front then decorate the pages with your chosen embellishments.
6. When the acrylic paint is dry stipple a co-ordinating colour lightly over the top, sprinkle ultra fine glitter whilst the paint is still wet.
7. To assemble stick painted letters onto the pages, when dry line up all of the pages & punch 3 holes using the cropodile or similar.
8. Thread through the three holes an easy bind ring ( available at stationers ) & tie various colours and lengths of ribbon through the binder rings.

Abi is a teenager

Well Abi became a teenager yesterday

I cant believe that its already been 13 years, it seems like just yesterday.
She had a lovely day excepting the two visits to PC World to return her birthday present, not once but twice. She had a laptop and both had dead pixels on the screen.
The third one seemed okay, wont boot up properley and seems like somebody else had already used it has a password already installed on it. so they can have that one back as well on Tuesday & I will choose a completely different brand.
So she is practicing on the Wii fit
She did have a nice surprise last night to end her birthday a new kitten arrived.

Does this ring any bells?

A man came home from work and found his three children outside, still in
their
pyjamas, playing in the mud, with empty food boxes and wrappers strewn all
around the front yard.

The door of his wife's car was open, as was the front door to the house and
there was no sign of the dog. Proceeding into the entry, he found an even
bigger mess. A lamp had been knocked over, and the throw rug was wadded
against one wall.

In the front room the TV was loudly blaring a cartoon channel, and the
family
room was strewn with toys and various items of clothing.

In the kitchen, dishes filled the sink, breakfast food was spilled on the
counter, the fridge door was open wide, dog food was spilled on the floor, a
broken glass lay under the table, and a small pile of sand was
spread by the back door.

He quickly headed up the stairs, stepping over toys and more piles of
clothes,
looking for his wife.
He was worried she might be ill, or that something serious had happened.

He was met with a small trickle of water as he made his way out the
bathroom
door.

As he peered inside he found wet towels, scummy soap and more toys
strewn over the floor. Miles of toilet paper lay in a heap and toothpaste
had
been smeared over the mirror and walls.

As he rushed to the bedroom, he found his wife still curled up in the bed in
her pyjamas, reading a novel. She looked up at him, smiled, and asked how
his
day went.

He looked at her bewildered and asked, "What happened here today?"

She again smiled and answered, "You know every day when you come home from
work and you ask me what in the world I do all day?"

"Yes," was his incredulous reply.

She answered, "Well, today I didn't do it."

With Sympathy

The two with sympathy cards that I needed to make, I always think that these are the hardest of cards to make despite being of the simplest design.

Crafts are here

Crafts are here, crafts are there,

My craft supplies are everywhere.

I really should clean this mess,

but I like it I confess.

Floor is littered, chairs are piled,

Kitchen's looking pretty wild.

On the table, counter too,

Seems that any place will do.

Hall is stacked with cartons high,

filled with things folks like to buy.

Garage is full, but so far....

there's still room to park the car.

I never have an idle day,

New ideas come my way.

Don't know yet what I'll create,

but my imagination's great.

My family smiles, they don't complain,

although at times I am a pain.

but when all is said and done,

I really am a crafty one!
